'I just wanted to thank you so very much for the most wonderful time we had in Uganda.  You have the most beautiful country and the most Beautiful people. It really is the Pearl of Africa.

Our whole experience from meeting Mark at the airport and having him as our driver and guide and friend through out the trip, to meeting our birder Fred, was simply superb!

Mark is excellent at what he does and really did make us feel at ease.  His driving skills are excellent and his knowledge of Uganda was very good. We enjoyed his company and highly recommend him.

Fred's knowledge of birding and his enthusiasm made our time with him so very enjoyable!!!

You have a fantastic team and I will recommend Uganda as a destination and your company to everyone in South Africa.

Thank you again from us all for everything - we will never forget our trip.

Semuliki National Park

Hot Springs - Semuliki National ParkSemuliki National park is an eastern extension of the vast Ituri forest in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It forms part of the forest continuum resulting out of the climatic upheavals of the Pleistocene and therefore one of the richest areas for both flora and fauna in Africa.

The park occupies a flat with gently undulating landform ranging form 670metres to 760metres above sea level. Since all the streams and rivers form the surrounding areas drain through the park, coupled with the poor drainage and topography, many areas in the park are flooded during the rainy season.

Jungle life in Semuliki National park is breathtaking especially for birders as it hosts 40 species found nowhere else in Uganda such as Congo Serpent eagle, Long tailed Hawk, Nkulengu Rail, Black-wattled Hornbill and Lyre-tailed Honey guide. Primate, butterfly and plant lovers are equally catered for. The jungle walk takes one up to the meandering River Semuliki the only one of its type in East Africa. You may also see sitatunga, leopard, crocodiles, various primates, forest elephants, pygmy antelopes and water birds.

Pigmies (locally known as Batwa)

The pigmy tribes settle around the Semuliki National Park, and the scenic walk will bring you close to these unbelievably short humans. Learn about the history and cultures and see them perform, entertaining you with the various songs and dances.

Hot Springs

Semuliki is famous for its hot spring known at Sempaya Hot Springs, these are result of the volcanic reaction, and the locals believe the springs heal various diseases. It is an experience you will never forget your entire life!
