Escape Tours and Safaris Uganda
Testimonials
My booking was handled very fast and efficiently, the guide was very good, I appreciate all the assistance from him during the trip. The gorillas were the experience of a lifetime as I had hoped for and the accommodation venues were well chosen and better than I expected. Thank you for the great trip.

We were in Uganda for a different mission and we used this period to book for a short trip to Queen Elizabeth, the team at Escape tours was very useful, in providing us with the information we required at short notice.
Our guide Dauda, was very good, knowledgeable and pleasant to be with, not to mention a very good driver too. All other services were up to our expectation, which made our trip enjoyable even though it was only for a few days.

Querido amigo,

Safari to Lake Mburo/Queen Elizabeth National Parks 12-15 Dec 07
Trip Information Itinerary and booking: Excellent! I am extremely satisfied with the planning and the information that I received.. Everything was factual and actual.
My opinion on the actual tour: Excellent! The tour followed the itinerary, and provided me every opportunity to see the animals and birds that I wanted to see. Abdul was very considerate in giving me every opportunity to get good photos.
I found both parks to be interesting. I got to see the zebras at Lake Mburo, and we got some really good contact with elephants at Queen Elizabeth. Also the bat cave was impressive. I've never seen so many bats.
Both Resorts (at Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth) were excellent facilities. I really appreciate the extra effort that their chefs made on my behalf (I don't eat meat or dairy, so it could be challenging to feed me, but they did a great job).
Driver/Guide: Abdul drove very well, and was a conscientious & considerate guide. He was very knowledgeable about the habits and habitats of the animals. He did an excellent job.
This may be an individual thing, but I enjoyed this safari more than the one to Murchison Falls. I think this was the case because there was a lot less driving to do. It took four hours to get to Lake Mburo, and four hours to get to Queen Elizabeth. That's a lot shorter than the Murchison/Kibale safari. So if you find someone who doesn't want to be driving too much, you should recommend this trip.

Our holiday in Uganda this month was a fantastic experience and made even more special by Emmy who rapidly became much more than our driver and guide. It's hard to believe that there could be anyone in Uganda more knowledgable about birds and how he managed to spot some of them - and identify them all - while he was driving when eight pairs of Muzungu eyes failed to see them will remain a mystery, as well as a source of total admiration. Emmy's character was shown at its very best when one of our party became very seriously ill in Fort Portal. His concern and willingness to help, even in the middle of the night when we had to call on him in an emergency, was over and above the call of duty. Even an ambulance driver with a flashing light could not have driven us to Kasese faster or with more consideration. Emmy's sense of humour and general awareness made it a trip to remember and we're sure we speak for all of us in saying we cannot speak too highly of him.
Wishing Escape every success

Our trip to Uganda in October 2006 was perfect for us.
It was such a harmony between us, the five crazy Muzungus, Medi and Akim.
Medi is a very professional guide with vast knowledge about the country and the animals, and all the birds. He was the best driver with a lot of humour. Although the roads were partly in a very bad state,he would adjust his driving in order to stick to the time-table, we always felt safe. We also enjoyed his courtsey since he took the time to stay with us in the evening for dinner and that he could answer our so many questions and even give us so much more.
Akim was very important for us as well,he could explain to us a lot about Uganda a wonderful country in German.
We want to say thank you for this wonderful time.

Choosing “Escape Tours & Safari” turned out to be the perfect choice of a travel operator for my Gorilla Trek in Uganda in September 2006.
My needs and requests of what I wanted to do and see were met in a very professional and satisfying way. “Escape Tours & Safari” have a broad knowledge and a true expertise in travel organisation.
The journey to Bwindi National Park for the Gorilla trek offers an extensive look at a beautiful Uganda.
I was made to feel very comfortable with practical arrangements such as accommodation and transportation. The itinerary was very well thought out and each of the lodgings offered a different African feel.
Moses, my driver and guide was extremely service minded and showed an enthusiasm beyond what could be expected. (I was happy to be in a Land Cruiser and not a mini-van, as I saw some of those from other tour companies experiencing difficulties with the terrain.)
I was a bit apprehensive travelling as a single woman on this trip. However, I should not have been concerned because all was handled with care and professionalism.
If you plan a trip to Uganda, and want to get the most out of it, you should definitely use “Escape Tours & Safari” as your tour operator, and I guarantee that you will get full satisfaction and unforgettable memories.
